Your Best Friend

We welcome all well behaved dogs.

Hickling, Waxham and Sea Palling Beach and the surrounding area are wonderful places for dog walking and fun, with sandy beaches and lots of open spaces to explore.

It goes without saying you need lead, collar and of course poop bags!

Please ensure vaccinations, flea and worm treatments are up to date, this is important as local areas in summer are warm and there is more likelihood of ticks and parasites, so it is better to be safe than sorry.

Dogs behave better with their own familiar smell, so please bring your own dog bed and any dog toys etc. Should you forget anything, Latham's at Potter Heigham always has a great selection and there is a pet shop in Stalham as well. Pet food and some accessories may be purchased in these as well.

Gardens

The gardens for all the Barns are fully enclosed and Doggie proof!

Doggy Rules

Leaving your dog alone or unsupervised in the property – we would prefer that this isn’t done unless you are confident that your dog will settle. It is just not fair on your dog (or on us) if they cause damage.

Please ensure your dog does not snooze on the sofas. We also have to state however, your dog is NOT allowed on the beds.

Unlike many other properties we do NOT make any additional charges for your dogs at Meadow Farm. We have a very limited time when we do changeovers and therefore ask, if you are a pet owner to ensure the property/garden is fur and poop free after your stay.

You can often see seals when walking on the local beaches at Waxham and Sea Palling and just behind the dunes you will find Waxham Barn which has a lovely café. Horsey beach, a little further along the coast, is well known for seal watching and the dog friendly Nelson’s Head pub is also well worth a visit.

There are restrictions at Sea Palling beach from 1st May until 30th September. During this time dogs are not allowed to the LEFT of the ramp. To the right of the ramp they are permitted all year around and you can walk for miles on the sands and in the dunes.
